Join Coupang now to create an epic experience in this always-on, high-tech, and hyper-connected world.  Role Overview   The Senior IT Internal Auditor at Coupang will lead and support global IT risk and control evaluations for Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR / US SOX) as well as complex IT operational areas. This role requires a tech-forward auditor who leverages data analytics, workflow automation, and AI-driven tools to enhance continuous auditing, evaluate enterprise cybersecurity postures, and deliver high-impact risk insights across Coupang’s cloud-native and engineering environments.   Key Responsibilities <ul> <li>ICFR & Compliance Governance: Execute reviews of internal control documentation, technical Risk and Control Matrices (RCM), and remediation blueprints in accordance with US SOX, US GAAP, PCAOB, and local Korean compliance standards.</li> <li>Global IT Risk & Controls Assessment: Drive risk assessments and technical control evaluations across major enterprise systems, cloud architecture (AWS/GCP), containerized applications, and infrastructure. Evaluate impacts on financial reporting as well as IT operational security, Data Privacy (PIPA), Disaster Recovery, and cyber threat vectors.</li> <li>Technical Audit Execution: Design and execute technical testing of IT General Controls (ITGCs), automated application controls, API integrations, identity and access management (IAM), and system-generated key reports.</li> <li>AI & Automation Integration: Identify and assist in the implementation of opportunities to automate routine audit workflows and integrate Generative AI / LLM tools for audit documentation, code reviews, script generation, and control testing enhancement.</li> <li>Stakeholder & External Audit Coordination: Communicate technical risk findings clearly to Internal Audit Leadership and business/engineering stakeholders. Coordinate technical testing scopes with external auditors to maximize leverage and optimize audit efficiency.</li> <li>Cross-Functional Technical Advisory: Partner with Information Security, DevOps, Engineering, Financial Controls, and IT Compliance teams to identify control gaps, perform root-cause analysis, and oversee engineering remediation through closure.</li> </ul> Basic Qualifications <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information System, Accounting, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or related fields.</li> <li>Experience: Minimum of 3 - 5 years of IT audit, cybersecurity audit, or IT risk consulting experience.</li> <li>Certifications: At least one active professional certification: CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CIA, or AWS/GCP Cloud Certifications.</li> <li>Language Proficiency: Bilingual fluency in English and Korean (spoken, written, and technical reading/writing).</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications <ul> <li>Prior experience working in a fast-paced U.S.- listed tech/e-commerce company or Big 4 IT risk advisory practice.</li> <li>Hands-on experience auditing microservices architectures, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), or cloud environments (AWS/GCP).</li> <li>Experience developing continuous auditing scripts or machine learning models for fraud and anomaly detection.</li> <li>Deep knowledge of IT internal control frameworks (COBIT, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 1/SOC. 2, CIS Benchmarks) and strong hands-on experience evaluating ITGCs, cloud security configurations, and identity governance.</li> <li>Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or advanced analytics platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx) to extract, transform, and analyze large-scale datasets directly from databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery).</li> <li>Familiarity with audit automation frameworks (RPA, script-driven testing) and practical exposure to leveraging AI/ML tools (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, automated code analysis) to streamline audit workflows.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
