As the Director, Business Analytics for Retail Systems, you will be instrumental in defining and executing data-driven selection and onboarding strategies that are vital to Coupang’s profitability and success. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Data Science and Analytics for the Retail Product domain, you will lead a team dedicated to delivering insights that inform our Retail Product initiatives related to selection. In this role, you will develop comprehensive analytics strategies that align with our business objectives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify optimization opportunities. Your expertise in advanced analytics will enable you to create selection identification and onboarding systems and policies, ensuring our decisions are agile and informed by real-time data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Retail Commerce, 3P Commerce, and Pricing to support decision-making and help develop key metrics. This role offers the opportunity to own, lead, and deliver projects from start to finish—collaborating with stakeholders and developers to ensure the highest quality and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of analytics, experimentation, and strategic insights, with a proven track record in selection and Retail business analytics within e-commerce. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.     What You Will Do   <ul> <li>Lead and grow a high-performing analytics team focused on selection identification and onboarding strategy and operations.</li> <li>Define and execute the analytics roadmap aligned with company-wide strategic goals.</li> <li>Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver actionable insights that drive revenue and customer trust.</li> <li>Identify and implement process improvements through data-driven automation and technology.</li> <li>Analyze market trends and competitor selection to inform strategic decisions.</li> <li>Ensure data quality and availability in collaboration with Data Engineering.</li> <li>Present key findings and recommendations to senior leadership.</li> <li>Stay current with analytics innovations and retail trends.</li> </ul>    Basic Qualifications   <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in analytics leadership roles within top-tier global tech or eCommerce companies.</li> <li>Proven success in driving business impact through data insights, experimentation, and strategic reporting.</li> <li>Expertise in analytical tools and languages (e.g., Python, R/SAS, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).</li> <li>Strong understanding of retail assortment planning, operations, and consumer behavior.</li> <li>Experience presenting to C-level executives and influencing strategic decisions.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Engineering, Economics);
